Privacy policy

In short: your audio files are not transmitted to our servers, we do not create accounts, and we do not sell any data.

1. Converted files

The conversion takes place in your browser (WebAssembly). Neither the file, nor its name, nor its metadata is transmitted to m4atomp3.fr.

Exception: if your browser does not support WebAssembly, the site tells you so and offers a conversion on our server. In that case, the file is stored for the duration of the conversion and automatically deleted within 30 minutes. It is neither viewed, nor saved, nor passed on to any third party. The IP address is used solely to limit abuse (anonymized counter, erased after one hour).

2. Data collected

• Server logs: IP address, page visited, browser, timestamp, kept for 30 days for security purposes (legal obligation).
• Traffic statistics: no third-party audience measurement tool is currently used.
• Preferences: your theme choice (light/dark), language and cookie choice are saved in your browser's local storage, never transmitted.
• Contact: if you write to us, your email address and message are kept for as long as it takes to handle them, then for a maximum of one year.

3. Cookies and advertising

The site currently uses no advertising cookies or third-party trackers. If an ad network is added in the future, this page will be updated and a consent banner will be displayed.

4. Your rights (GDPR)

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of data concerning you. Given the absence of accounts and data collection, these rights essentially apply to server logs and email exchanges. Contact: contact@m4atomp3.fr.
